50 Days of Amazing Grace is an annual series {of short, to-the-point posts} that aims to inspire and empower you to live as an ‘Easter person,’ i.e. one who is joyful and ‘sent forth’ to proclaim the wonder of Jesus’ Resurrection. It is inspired by the Easter Season, which, for us Catholics, lasts for 50 days. (You can find the first and second series of posts here and here respectively. For this year’s series of posts, click here.)
The other night, I was stressing over the huge mess our apartment is in, over work deadlines, over the kids’ misbehavior, over piles of clean laundry to be folded and put away, over a MILLION and one things (well, it seemed like a million and one things).
I’ll be completely honest with you… it was NOT a pretty sight! I actually broke down in tears…
My husband saw me and immediately hugged me, saying, “Don’t worry… I’ve got your back.” Immediately, I felt much, much better.
Life is hard, I know. And I know you know it too.
Sometimes it can be overwhelming.
Sometimes it can be depressing.
Sometimes all you want to do is escape.
How comforting it is to know then that, just as my husband’s got my back, God’s got ours too.
God’s got your back.
Rest easy now. And let Him work.
Psalms 55:23 says:
Cast your care upon the LORD,
who will give you support.
Will you join me in doing so today?
Reflection: Our burdens were not meant for us to carry by ourselves. God is bigger than any of our problems!
Prayer: Dear Father, I surrender my cares, worries and burdens to You today. Thank You, God, because I know You’ve got my back!
