Truly Rich Tips: How To Prevent Baby Skin Rashes

January 18, 2012 by Tina Leave a Comment

I’ve written about rashes in babies before, but mostly about their being a symptom of common childhood viral diseases. My kids are, chronologically, no longer “babies,” but that doesn’t mean that they’re not prone to skin rashes anymore (and, take note please, they’ll always be my “babies!” He he!).

Anyway, I digress.

When we were still on mission in Timor, skin rashes in our little ones were quite common, especially because of the heat and dust. Rysse, in particular, was quite prone to diaper rashes, almost from the day she was born. We even had to deal with a diaper yeast infection, which she developed as a result of being on antibiotics as a newborn, due to her having a urinary tract infection and sepsis.

Though baby skin rashes, especially in the diaper area, are a common occurrence, I’m sure others moms can probably relate to me when I say that I felt really bad whenever my babies would have them. That’s why I did my research and tried to apply all I learned about preventing diaper rashes.

If you’re a mom with a baby or toddler, here are some useful tips for preventing baby skin rashes from Momcenter.com and Nivea:
