Truly Rich Recommendations {Events}: The 33rd Manila International Book Fair

The is OFFICIALLY OPEN! 🙂 Go, go, go, book-lovers! (Though I think even NON-book-lovers should drop by, too!)  😀

And while you’re there, please do show some “love” to our company/ministry by dropping by the Shepherd’s Voice booth! 🙂

We have lots of products available that provide practical inspiration and financial literacy tips and strategies and so much more! 🙂 Our 2013 devotionals are also already available! 🙂 Perfect Christmas gifts for your family and friends! 😛

The MIBF runs until September 16 at the SMX Convention Center. 🙂 There are also several events which will take place during the fair — you can check out the detailed schedule here.

P.S. I was able to drop by the MIBF earlier (errr… yesterday!) with friends and fellow homeschool moms Mariel and Sanne from The Learning Basket. We weren’t able to visit all the booths though, but the ones we did visit were really worth the trip! 🙂 Check out my “loot” below! (Though it’s all for the kids and our homeschool, haha!)

Truly Rich Recommendations: Play Pilipinas 2011 Event

As a homeschooling mom who believes that children, especially young ones, learn best through play*, I highly recommend this event:

The event will feature:

Exhibits from toy designers, manufacturers and distributors showcasing the latest in toys, playground equipment, books, fashion and lots of other innovations:
• TOY FAIR: A toy fair with over 50 booths, each featuring the latest tools and toys for active play. Organized by age bracket.
• BOOK AND MAGAZINE FAIR: A veritable showcase of the latest and best titles covering play and child development.
• CHILDREN’S NUTRITION FAIR: A taste of the kind of food that makes for fun, delicious and healthy eating for kids.
• CHILDREN’S FASHION FAIR: An exhibition of outfits fit for active play and other children’s activities.
• SCHOOL FAIR: A venue for schools or institutions to showcase their programs and the ways they integrate play into their curriculum/activities. • WORLD TOYS EXHIBIT: An exhibition showcasing toys and games from around the world.
