This is a rather lengthy video but worth watching! 🙂 Kudos to our brothers and sisters from the 700 Club Asia for doing this! 🙂 May more and more of our Christian countrymen make their voices be heard and stand up for LIFE! 🙂
From the Mouths of Babes: Natural Family Planning Explained (by a Teenager)
In relation to one of my earlier posts about giving kids respect and NOT contraceptives, I’d like to share this video with you all. This was NOT done by anyone I know personally, but if I did know the young lady who made it, I’d give her a big hug and tell her parents what a good job they did in raising their little girl! 🙂 (And ask them to mentor hubby and I, hahaha!)
Here’s the video description from :
This video is a submission of the Goodness Reigns 2012 Video Mini-Contest on Natural Family Planning. Learn more about Goodness Reigns and how you can participate to win great prizes in upcoming contests athttp://www.goodnessreigns.com
Video Description:
Living in “the real world” as a faithful Catholic usually brings on a torrent of opposition. How would you respond to someone if they professed absolute trust in contraceptives? What would you say about Natural Family Planning and its benefits? Here’s a short blip on my take of the potential situation.

Truly Rich Reflections: I Can Only Imagine :) {The first in a series of soooooo many posts to be done! LOL!}
OK, so I know I have TONS of overdue pending blog posts, including more contributions to the Amazing Grace for Moms series, MORE Amazing Grace Giveaways AND even more great recommendations and tips for the whole family, among others! GOSH!
Not to mention stuff I need to do for my actual job at the country’s top inspirational publishing company of all time {do I sound biased to you?! LOL!} and other writing projects! *whew*)…
BUT… I just HAVE to share what happened earlier (errr… last night!). 🙂 So, please humor me… and I promise I’ll get to all those things in a while! 😉
So anyway, we came home last night from our regular household meeting (what we call our small group prayer meetings in Couples for Christ) to find little Therese still awake (it was already almost midnight!).
Apparently, my plan to put her to sleep early so their Ate (aka our helper/nanny) would only have to wait for Tim to fall asleep backfired — she woke up while we were still at the prayer meeting and wouldn’t fall asleep again, even after her Kuya had fallen asleep! Hehe! 🙂
So we ended up playing a bit, laughing and tickling each other and reading a few books before she finally nursed to sleep. 🙂 *sighs* O how I LOVE you, our little flower! 🙂 And your brother, too! 🙂
One of the books we read was “.” I got it for only P140 at Booksale Robinsons Metro East — a good buy in my opinion, as it still had the accompanying music CD! 🙂
I first heard the song, “I Can Only Imagine,” when we were still based in Timor Leste. I remember how struck I was by its beautiful lyrics.
Anyway, when I turned to the first page, Rysse says, “I want ‘up’ kay Jesus!” (I want to be carried by Jesus!)
My heart melted at that exact moment. And all I could say was, “Me too, baby. Me too!”
*sighs* Times like these, I forget how imperfect I am as a wife, mother, PERSON (!) and can only thank God for His awesome grace! 😉
P.S. In case you’re wondering what the song sounds like, here’s a nice video from YouTube:
Oh, and if you happen to come across the book, I highly recommend you buy it for your kids (and for yourselves, too!) Here are what the other pages look like (sorry if the other photos are blurry, am not much of a photographer! *winks*:

50 Days of Amazing Grace: Day 39 – A Love Letter :)
This is a beautiful video! And an even more beautiful “love letter.” 🙂 Love the accompanying song, too!
May you be amazed by His grace every day, friends, not just for 50 days! 🙂
50 Days of Amazing Grace: Days 35, 36, 37 & 38 – Mother’s Day Should Be Every Day
I was a bit occupied this past weekend, trying to recover from the cold and cough that had been bugging me since the middle of the week — so I spent more time resting and just being with family. This is one of the reasons why I failed to update the 50 Days of Amazing Grace posts. That, and maybe blogger fatigue, haha! I didn’t used to post as regularly on this blog as I am now, LOL! 🙂
The kids LOVE “going to the ocean” on Saturdays (at Kindermusik)! 🙂 |
Last Saturday, the kids and I went to Kindermusik and then we went to my parents’ place in Cainta, since hubby was out of town. I tried catching up on emails, work-related stuff and blog giveaways and guest posts (the key word is “try,” haha!) while we were there — maximizing the free wifi available! Teehee! 🙂 We also visited the Christian Life Program that was being held in the village.
On Sunday, we went to Mass in the morning with my dad and tita (aunt) and managed to squeeze in time for a haircut for Tim and moi (more of trying to get over my Mother’s Day guilt, read about it here, LOL!), a bit of proofreading and a lot of mother-ing. Things didn’t go as I had planned (hubby and I were supposed to go on a date) BUT I realized… well.. that’s motherhood for ya, right?!

You don’t stop being a mother, even if it’s Mother’s Day.
You don’t stop wanting to give your kids the best of you, even for a day.
You don’t stop asking for God’s amazing grace to fill up the places where you lack
And to erase the pain and hurt you cause when you mess up (which, in my case, is A LOT) every.single.day.
Mother’s Day, I believe, isn’t just for a day.
Mother’s Day should be every day.
We must treasure our role as moms every day.
And ask God for the grace to be the best that we can be,
Even if being the best means just being enough.
I hope these articles and videos will inspire you to celebrate who you are as a mom, every single day, just as they inspired me to do so. I am imperfect, but the love I wish to give is perfect. And I will strive to let the Perfect Lover up above help me do so every day. 🙂 Join me?
