I know the title of this post may seem lame to some of you out there… But I don’t know what else to say. You all probably already know that we lost my father-in-law very recently. And I realize that this post may seem to be in “bad timing” and all, but, like it says in the title: “Life must go on.” After all, isn’t that the only thing that inevitably happens when a loved one dies? The world keeps turning, your life keeps going, you need to go back to “functioning” on a daily basis.
True, yes, that we need to go back to “functioning.” But I’d like to believe that beyond functioning, we need to live life with an even greater purpose. We need to be more intentional and deliberate in what we think, say and do. Especially as parents. We need to be more thoughtful about what we do and how we parent our kids.
Be thoughtful and intentional parents… like moms Jeanette Un and Marie Antipasado, who are the owners of , an online store selling modern reusable cloth diapers and cloth diapering accessories. {OK, yes, that was my segue. In case you didn’t see it coming. ;)}
Last month, Jeanette sent me an e-mail asking if they could sponsor a giveaway on the blog, and being supportive of mompreneurs, especially local ones, I readily agreed. The giveaway was supposed to be scheduled earlier, but we had to re-schedule it, supposedly to last week. But then, Daddy passed away. 🙁
Well, anyway, I don’t want you nor I to dwell on that sad event (believe me, I’ve been dwelling on it a lot these past few days) so let me give you a little bit more information about Earth Baby instead:
“Earth Baby is a partnership of two moms who used to be college dorm roommates, reunited many years after by a common advocacy: cloth diapering. Jeanette, a mother of two, Yanna turning 4 and Jed 14mos, discovered cloth diapers when her second child was four months old. She decided to switch to cloth firstly due to the cost savings compared to disposables. But then she saw how much less garbage she had to throw out each day when not using disposables, and also that cloth was best for her baby. She never looked back since and sought to share cloth diapering to her mom friends. She started reselling cloth diapers online.
One day she got reconnected with Marie and found out she had already given birth to her first child, Eli, who incidentally was born just 10 days before Jed. 🙂 Marie was not only also breastfeeding her son, she was also cloth diapering him! And she was also selling cloth diapers. They then decided to partner in promoting cloth diapers and their brainchild, Earth Baby, was born. They developed their own line of premium cloth diapers, designed for baby’s comfort and mom’s (and dad’s and caregivers’) confidence. Whether one is a long time cloth diaper user or still contemplating to switch, one is bound to find an Earth Baby diaper to love.
Earth Baby seeks to provide cloth diapers that are user-friendly and effective, products mom-tried-and-tested. Cloth diapering is not just following a fad, but making a conscious decision to change a lifestyle, knowing that the benefits far outweigh the ‘inconveniences.’ Earth Baby envisions to provide other reusable cloth alternatives to everyday disposables people have come to get used to, as part of their advocacy to help make Earth a better place. Because, after all, Earth is your baby’s home.
In line with their desire to promote cloth diapering, Jeanette and Marie are generously sponsoring a giveaway — ONE blessed reader of Truly Rich Mom will get ONE pocket diaper and ONE AI2 (All in 2) diaper from Earth Baby! (You can read more about Earth Baby’s cloth diapers and . You can also read how you can use Earth Baby diapers even for OVERNIGHT use .)
