Celebrate Marcus’s Birthday with a Wonderworld Giveaway! :)

“Who’s Marcus?” you may ask. Well, he’s the eldest son of Mommy Sherrie, the mompreneur behind Babysmiths, “a store that caters to parents who appreciate thoughtfully designed child and parenting products which help them in raising healthy, responsible, caring kids.”

One of Babysmiths’s most popular products is , a brand of wooden toys (made in Thailand) that promotes development of every stage of the 0 to 6 year old child. “From early sense stimulation… grasping … posture control …seeking…..using fingers … walking … sorting … building …. imaginative and social play.”

As part of Marcus’s birthday celebration, Sherrie is generously giving away a Wonderworld Duck Family Pull Along toy! 🙂 It’s supposedly for kids 12-24 months, but I’m sure children of other ages will enjoy it, too!

Truly Rich Tips: Be a Generous Giver! (+ The Wonderworld Toy Drive In Support of Museo Pambata)

I’ve blogged about giving before, particularly on giving 10% of one’s income to God (what we Catholics / Christians call a “tithe”). Now, I know the topic of giving may be something that may make some of you out there feel a bit uncomfortable, especially during hard times — such as what we’re all facing now.

However, I still believe that Jesus’ words below are oh-so-true (in fact, I’ve experienced the truth of these words time and time again in our family’s journey):

Give and gifts will be given to you; a good measure, packed together, shaken down, and overflowing, will be poured into your lap. For the measure with which you measure will in return be measured out to you. (Luke 6:38)

Some people call it “karma” — what you dish out, is what you will get in return, often many times over. I call it God’s love and justice. 😉

Whatever you call it, the importance of giving cannot be overemphasized, especially during this time when lack of sharing and greed is causing so much pain in the world.

So, whatever you can share, go ahead and do it. Whatever you can give, go ahead and give it. God (or, if you don’t believe in Him, the universe, or whatever you may call “the powers that be”) will see your efforts. And people will feel its fruits. 🙂

P.S. If you’re in the Philippines, has an ongoing Toy Drive, in cooperation with . You and your kids can donate old and/or new toys, which will then be used by Museo Pambata in their various advocacy programs. It’s never too early to teach our kids to give/be generous, right? 🙂
