Announcing the winner of the Amazing Grace giveaway by Numa! :)

May 24, 2012 by Tina Leave a Comment

Good morning, everyone! :)

I said in my post about the Amazing Grace Giveaway by Numa that I’d announce the winner on May 27, Pentecost Sunday, but I realized that it’s pointless to do so, since one can already see which Facebook photo has the most number of likes. Haha! :)

So, without further ado, the winner of the giveaway is… (drum roll)

Entry No. 2: Glaiza Garcia Tominio

I feel so blessed to be a mom because of my strong support system like my fellow mommy-friends. We help each other go through motherhood the fun and the smart way. That’s why I’m joining the giveaway by Numa Baby and Truly Rich Mom/Teachermama Tina! ♥ :)

With a total of 421 “likes”! :) WOW! :)

A bit of trivia: I recently found out that Glaiza is a mom blogger, too! :) Cool, huh?! You can read about her life as a mom at http://moomymusings.blogspot.com/. :)

Congrats, Mommy Glaiza! :) And thank you again to everyone who joined the Numa giveaway! Special thanks to the wonderful owners of Numa for our awesome prize! :)

P.S. There are still a few Amazing Grace giveaways ongoing! :) Join, join, join! :) And remember, win or lose, God’s grace in your life already makes you a winner! 😀

Amazing Grace Giveaway: Win wonderful wooden toys from Wonderworld!

May 23, 2012 by Tina Leave a Comment

It’s almost Pentecost Sunday, which means our 50 Days of Easter are almost over. (Aaaawwww…)

When I first got the idea (though I’d like to think it was divine inspiration!) to do something special here on the blog, in celebration of the Easter season, I never imagined where God would take me and my family (and this blog!). All I can say is, I now know, more than ever, that God’s grace is truly, truly amazing! :) {Thank YOU, dear readers, for keeping me company on this fun, faith-filled ride so far!}

Anyway, for today’s Amazing Grace giveaway, I’d like to thank super-mompreneur Sherrie Siy-Ong of Baby Depot, Inc., the exclusive distributor of , for the awesome prizes! :)

But first, a little background on Wonderworld Toys:
{NOTE: I may have hurriedly prepared this slide show, but the text and images are from Wonderworld Toys Philippines PR kit and Facebook page. Just letting you know. :)}

Now, let’s get to the giveaway details already, shall we?! :) (Don’t forget, there are still other giveaways currently ongoing, you might want to join those, too!)

PRIZE DETAILS
TWO blessed readers of Truly Rich Mom will win one Wonderworld toy each! :)

Prize no. 1: One (1) Wooden Mini Tuktuk toy
Description (from Baby Depot):
WONDERWORLD Mini Transportation are great social toys, aside from developing gross motor skills from pushing and pulling. Let your child bring his fave WW mini vehicles to your next outing for fun play with his/her cousins/friends.

Tuktuks are Thailand’s version of taxi. So named because of the sound of their engine, these are motorized rickshaws and are popular amongst tourists for their novelty value. They are occasionally faster than taxis in heavy traffic as weaving in and out is easier. Celebrate your child’s milestones with WONDERWORLD Educational Toys!

Prize no. 2: One (1) Wooden Blue Twisty Rattle
Description (from Baby Depot):
Baby will love to grasp and shake this WONDERWORLD Blue Twisty Rattle to create sound and movement. This can also be used as a teether, as it is partly made of soft material. Celebrate your child’s milestones with WONDERWORLD Educational Toys!

Enjoy the Play Days of Summer with Johnson’s Baby! {And yes, it’s another Amazing Grace giveaway!}

May 22, 2012 by Tina Leave a Comment

Last week, the kids and I visited my dad in Cainta and I was pleasantly surprised when Papa said that a package had arrived for me a few days earlier.

I was even MORE surprised to see its contents:

Thank you, , for the awesome Play Days swag bag! :) I was so psyched, too, when I found out that fellow “more-famous-than-little-ol’-me” mom bloggers Toni of Wifely Steps and Fleur of Mommy Fleur got the same goodies! (I am humbled and honored, really! *blushes*) A few other mom bloggers have posts about it too, here, here and here.

Along with the goodies was a CD containing press kit materials about Johnson’s latest advocacy, i.e. encouraging outdoor play for kids — complete with videos! (I was hoping I could upload them here but I am kind of technically-challenged when it comes to uploading videos, so sorry! Teehee!)

To make up for it, I’ll just let you guys know what was in the press release then: (don’t forget to read through the rest of the post for the giveaway details!)

Growing up in the ‘80s, Pam remembers how much fun she had playing outdoors with her friends and neighbors, especially during summer. They would bike around their village, play patintero or piko, or hang out at the neighborhood park. It was an idyllic childhood.

And now, as a Mom of a 3-year-old girl and a 5-year-old boy, Pam wishes that her children could spend more time outdoors just like she did. Aside from the fun of the great outdoors, she’s read from experts that outdoor play can help stimulate children’s emotional, social and physical development .

But, Pam fears that exposure to the sun when outdoors can bring about various skin discomforts on her children like rashes and irritation, malodor and stickiness. Having less safe areas where her kids can play is also a big concern. Because of these, she’s guilty of one thing – limiting her kids’ outdoor playtime.

Pam is not alone. Many of today’s Moms feel the same way and that’s why JOHNSON’S®, the country’s number one baby care brand trusted by generations, presents a new advocacy campaign to help Moms confidently send their active, growing kids for outdoor play – JOHNSON’S® Play Days.

This summer 2012, JOHNSON’S® Play Days introduces three product platforms that are best for active, growing kids who want to play outdoors:
1. No Bungang Araw
2. Walang Lagkit Feeling
 3. No Amoy-Araw
Johnson’s Baby Skin Protection Powder
From Johnson’s “No Bungang-Araw” range of products
Johnson’s Baby Slide Cologne, Peach Baby Bath and Pink Blossoms Powder
From Johnson’s “No Amoy-Araw” range of products
Johnson’s Baby Tumble Cologne, Baby Cooling Bath and Baby Cooling Powder
From Johnson’s “Walang Lagkit Feeling” range of products

Aside from the products, JOHNSON’S® also brings to Moms and kids the country’s first and only travelling playground that will visit Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao to provide kids a fun and secure place to play in throughout summer.

There are still thousands of kids out there who have yet to experience the joy of outdoor play. But with JOHNSON’S® Play Days, more Moms can now freely tell their kids to … “Go out and play!”
———————————
Awesome, right? So why am I giving some of these goodies away?

Well, in another post connected to PR events for bloggers, I mentioned that we’ve recently switched to using Human Nature products for the kids’ bathing essentials. So I won’t be needing the bath products I got. :) I also don’t usually put cologne on the kids (yup, never did since birth!), so I won’t need those, either. :) I will be keeping the cooling and skin protection powder and sunblock lotion though. 😀

The rest of the goodies, my dear readers, are up for grabs through another Amazing Grace giveaway! (I figured I’d share my blessings with y’all, since it IS still Easter and all! Though it’s the last week of Easter now!)

ONE blessed reader of Truly Rich Mom will receive a Johnson’s Play Days bag (the button clasp won’t close though, sorry! It was like that when I got it!) and the following products:
  • One 200 mL bottle of Johnson’s Baby Cooling Bath
  • One 200 mL bottle of Johnson’s Baby Bath — Peach variety
  • One 200 g container of Johnson’s Baby Powder — Pink Blossoms variety
  • One 125 mL bottle of Johnson’s Baby Cologne — Bounce! variety
  • One 125 mL bottle of Johnson’s Baby Cologne — Slide! variety

Eligibility: This contest is open to Philippine residents only.
Contest period: Contest will run from May 22 to June 5, 2012. The winner will be announced by June 7, 2012.

Happy Mother’s Day! { And announcing our Mother’s Day Amazing Grace giveaway by Medela Moms! :)

May 13, 2012 by Tina Leave a Comment

Hi, dear readers! :)

First things first.

To all the fabulous moms out there (especially my own Mama), this message is for you:

Source.

Second, well, I’m off to treat myself to a {budget} haircut (oh yes, that in itself is a treat for this low-maintenance mom!) and will spend some quality time with my little boy, too (forgive me, but we had another mother-son squabble earlier, so I’m making it up to him! Yep, I’m imperfectly human, folks! I get mad, shout at my kids, sometimes I end up spanking them, too! BUT I vow to stop that from this day on. *guilty sigh*). Hubby’s coming home from Bataan later (he led a teambuilding activity there) so we’re hoping to get some date time this evening. :)

Soooo.. that’s why I am just announcing our latest Amazing Grace giveaway, rather than post about it! LOL! :) So sorry, haven’t gotten around to fixing the Rafflecopter details but will do tonight! :) Just so you know, you stand the chance to win some AWESOME prizes from ! :)

Catch ya later! :) Blessings on us all! :)

50 Days of Amazing Grace: Day 33 – Blessing after blessing after blessing after blessing! :) {Yes, indeed, ALL is WELL!}

May 9, 2012 by Tina Leave a Comment

I’m going to make this real quick (can anyone say “deadlines to meet” with me?! LOL!). I just couldn’t help sharing: God is super totally mega awesome! :) Not only has He been using this blog to bless others in different ways — whether it’s through our current and past giveaways, inspiring posts especially for moms or daily doses of His grace — He has also been blessing our family in lots of ways! :)

Source.

In just over THREE weeks, God has answered not one but THREE of our family’s most major prayer concerns:

1. The first answered prayer: We got a replacement for the yaya (nanny) who left for her day off and never came back — our old yaya, Ate Lyn (Ate is the Filipino term for older sister) suddenly called me up and said she could come back and work for us! :)

2. The second answered prayer: We got a call that we could rent out the apartment we had been praying for after all! (It’s pretty inspiring how it happened — God’s grace, really! Details here). :) So we ended up moving less than one week after that phone call. Ate Lyn came back just in time to help us pack everything (and unpack everything at the new place! Thank God for you, Ate Lyn!)

3. The third (and most recent, just yesterday!) answered prayer: I received news that I am now officially a regular employee at my workplace! :) Whoooppppeeee!!!!! Praise the LORD! :)

Aside from these major concerns, He’s also been answering our prayers for even the simplest and most “shallow” needs. For example, He’s paved a way for Tim to continue his Kindermusik lessons this summer and has even allowed Rysse to join the fun sessions with , too! :) He even gave this blog new partners in the form of and ! :)

And I believe that all of these prayers were answered in part because of this post I made on my {personal} Facebook wall on April 22:

Oh Lord, remove all the worries and concerns in my heart and head and help me to see that You indeed are enough, MORE THAN ENOUGH, and that You have already given us ALL THAT WE NEED. All is well. Let me say it again, with all my heart, ALL IS WELL IN YOU, LORD. ♥

Our words really DO have power.

Our thoughts really can turn into things.

Our God really is a God of Amazing Grace. :)

P.S. I believe that God wants to bless you in the same way He is blessing us. Open your heart and hands now, friend, and receive His blessings in your life! :) See the blessings even before they arrive and claim they are yours, in His name and according to His way! :)

Source.

P.P.S. Please don’t be deceived, dear readers. Our family life and my personal life isn’t a bed of roses 24/7. We do have problems; we have our hubby-wife fights arguments; our kids can be disobedient many times a day (hence, the post before this one); we still have debts to pay; etc. etc. Our life ain’t perfect. But what’s awesome is that our God is. And that alone is enough to make me say, “All is well.” All is well indeed! :)
