Woman, You Are Meant to Shine! (An Invitation)

May 21, 2018 by Tina

Previous Jewels Conference Photo-1

One of the things that I had been praying for during my bedrest period was that I would be well enough to attend this year’s Jewels Conference. I went to the first conference, and had been waiting for the next one… which will be happening soon—on June 2, to be exact!

Jewels Conference INvite

So I am very grateful to God for answering my prayers—I’m finally off bedrest, and there’s a big chance that I can go! Woohoo! 🙂 (I still need to see if I can though… since I still need to take it easy. Husband’s and my parents’ orders!)

In any case, I’d like to extend this invitation to YOU, my dear fellow women out there. Take some time off to rest in God’s presence, and be reminded of how precious you are in His sight. (This goes out especially to my fellow moms. You deserve a break. We all do! 😉 )

Dear _____________, (fill in the blank with your name)

Let’s face it.

It takes a woman to understand another woman’s soul.

The anguish of a broken heart, the pain of childbirth, the challenges of raising a family and taking care of aging parents.

It’s tough to be a woman. Yet, each season every woman goes through also promises an exciting journey of struggles and victories altogether.

That is why the Jewels Conference was conceived. To be a venue of inspiration and renewed hope for women, no matter what season we all are in.

And I’m inviting you again (and all the other women you know) to be part of the Radiance: Jewels Conference 2018.

Jewels Conference 2018 is happening on June 2, 2018 (Saturday) from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the SMX  Convention Center in Pasay City, Manila.

Speaking of hope and inspiration at the conference are lay preacher and international speaker and author Bo Sanchez, Rissa Singson-Kawpeng of Kerygma Magazine, Sr. Eppie Brasil of Regina Rica, showbiz personalities Dimples Romana and Ai Ai De Las Alas, and worship leader Veia Lim-Vinas.  I’m sure you wouldn’t want to miss this!

You still have time to avail of your tickets to our much-awaited all-women gathering! I hope you’ve blocked off your June 2 already to spend a day with Jesus.

My prayers go out to you and your families.

See you at the Jewels Conference!

Peace and Love,
Marowe Sanchez (and me! LOL!)

Marowe and me 2

P.S. For more details about the Jewels Conference, please visit the Jewels Conference  too! Here’s a glimpse of what happened at the first conference:

P.P.S. Hurry! Get your tickets today at ! Regular tickets are priced at P995 and Premium tickets are priced at P1400 (with Jewels journal and reserved seating area).

And in case you need more convincing, here’s Kuya Bo Sanchez personally inviting you to the conference:

Please pray that I can go? Hope to see you there! 🙂

3 Important Lessons from the Feast Valle Verde Servants Gathering

August 4, 2017 by Tina

It was my first time to attend the Servants Gathering of  (FVV) last week. To be perfectly honest, I was tempted to skip it. I actually did not feel “worthy” enough to go, because all I do as a “servant” is help with social media and, whenever I can, edit the FVV weekly bulletin. But I still went, out of obedience to the Lord, with four kids in tow, while my husband Anthony was at The Feast Bay Area for the Kerygma Conference Launch.

And I’m so glad I did. Although I was not able to stay inside the Servants Gathering venue the whole time (my three older kids kept going in and out, and I had a toddler who refused to stay in the room with me because his siblings were outside), I thank God that I was able to glean three important lessons from the Gathering. I’d like to share them with you, in the hope of encouraging you somehow:

1. God doesn’t call us to be successful; He calls us to be faithful.

This applies not just to our service but to our lives in general. Are you a parent like me? A sibling? A child? Do you work at an office? Run a business? Work at home (like me)? Do other forms of work? Be faithful. Keep on keeping on. Offer it all up to Him.

2. Love is the reason for everything we do.

Erika Mendoza, or Ikay as we fondly call her, emphasized this in her passionate talk at the Gathering. We do what we do, as excellently and diligently as we can, out of love for God and for others.

3. People need the Lord.

I’ve been in the Charismatic Renewal for around 26 years now but not all of those years were spent truly living for Jesus. It’s only by His grace alone that I’m still here, trying to serve Him in my own way. And one thing I was reminded of during the Servants Gathering is this: People really need Jesus. We need to bring Him to them.

I pray that we remember these lessons as we go about our daily lives. May we bring the Light of Jesus to all who need it. For His greater glory!

P.S.

Sharing this invitation with you. Hope to see you at Feast Valle Verde!

Our Worth Lies in Our Being

August 26, 2016 by Tina

our worthLast weekend, I was honored to give a short testimony at the first JEWELS gathering. JEWELS is a ministry for women, and it stands for Jesus in Every Woman, Empowered to Love and Serve. The talk that day was given by my friend and sister in Christ Ichel Alignay, and it was about “Women of Worth.”

Ichel reminded us all of the importance of focusing on who we are in Jesus, and I am so grateful that she did. Every person needs to remember this actually, but I think women especially need to hear this message:

Self-worth is the sense of acceptance of who you are — both strengths and weakness.

We need to take care of ourselves, and to love ourselves as Jesus Himself loves us. How else can we love those around us — if we are not filled with love? And who can fill us with love? God alone. Yet He also expects us to love ourselves. Remember His greatest commandment (Matthew 22: 34-40)?

When the Pharisees heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together, and one of them [a scholar of the law] tested him by asking, “Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest? He said to him, “You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments.”

Jesus said, “Love your neighbor as yourself.” So self-love is NOT selfish. Self-care is NOT unimportant.

We also need to remember that our worth is NOT based on what we can do, nor on what we have. Our worth is based on our identity in Jesus. It is based on our being His, not on our doing.

I need to be reminded of this often, because I tend to put my worth in what I do, and not who I am. Because of this, I sometimes say “yes” to tasks even if I am already fully loaded. Perhaps you need this reminder too, today, or in the days to come. Please pray for me as I pray for all of you, dear members of the Truly Rich and Blessed community! (I consider all my readers as members of the community!)

God Is Our Forever {Post-Grand Easter Feast 2015 Musings + Links to Divine Mercy Resources}

April 11, 2015 by Tina

How is the Easter season going for you so far, friends? I hope it’s been a blessed time of rejoicing so far. As for me and my family, we had an amazing time at the Grand Easter Feast last Sunday! Here are a few photos, from :

divine mercy divine mercy divine mercy divine mercy

I couldn’t help crying during Mass and the praise and worship — I was overwhelmed again at how much God loves me and my family. I am an imperfect, broken sinner, yet He still chooses to by my “Forever.” He still loves me and gives me chances every day to repent and renew myself.

Some of my biggest takeaways from the Grand Easter Feast (image credits go to the ):  [Read more…]

On Being Empowered: Will I See You at the Kerygma Conference?

November 21, 2013 by Tina

As I write this post, the first day of the Kerygma Conference 2013 is just hours away. My husband and the other people behind the Conference have been preparing for it for months now, and I can’t believe how quickly time has flown. So many things have happened this year, to me, to our family, and to our country. Well, to our whole world actually.

And even as we Filipinos are banding together — along with many caring people from all over the world — to help rebuild the lives of many who have suffered calamity after calamity, I believe that we must remember that we cannot do this alone. Call me idealistic or “holier-than-thou” or whatever, but I believe that apart from God, our efforts will only be in vain.

We need His grace.

We need His strength.

We need His power.

And this, my friends, is what the Kerygma Conference this year is all about — Being Empowered.

If you’re free this weekend (or even later and Friday, too), I invite you to come and be empowered. Just click on the image above or here for more details. Part of the proceeds of the Conference will go to the relief efforts for the Typhoon Yolanda victims, as the Light of Jesus Family .

I’ll only be able to attend the conference on Saturday and Sunday though — my kids are super excited to attend the Awesome Kids class on Sunday too! It will be about God’s Superheroes. If you want to bring your children, just register here.

Hope to see you there! If you see me walking around (hopefully not looking too “harrassed” with three kids in tow, ha, ha!), please do say Hi! 🙂 And if you won’t be able to come, please do include the Conference and everyone involved in it, and everyone attending, in your prayers!
